About Us
The Lac Ste. Anne Community Choir began in September of 2011 with only five members. Each step was a challenge, because the group needed rehearsal space, multiple copies of songs, an accompanist, and most important, a choir director. The choir has a range of both male and female voices and the membership grows each season.
Meet The Professional Team
OUR ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Debbie Rosen is a singer, director, pianist, clarinetist, and educator. She holds a BMUS in Clarinet Performance from the University of Alberta.
Debbie was the Music Director for Cornerstone Theatre’s winter music productions in Canmore for nine years. She also directed Canmore’s Valley Winds Choir and Band and was a founding member and director of the a cappella ensemble “In the Pink”. Debbie founded the Lac Ste. Anne Choir in 2011.

ACCOMPANIST
Our accompanist this year is Ashely Urquhart. Ashely graduated from the University of Toronto with honours in Piano Performance and over the last two decades has been working in the industry. Accompanying is a great love of hers and she has done so in both choir and soloist contexts. She has worked as a cruise ship musician and as an active member of the Toronto live music community. Ashely recently moved home to Alberta and is excited to become a part of the Lac Ste. Anne Community Choir!
